Fuerzabruta
Last weekend I went and saw "Fuerzabruta" at the Roundhouse here in London, it was absolutely amazing, if you're in London book a ticket right now, you won't regret it, if you're not, they travel so they might be in your neck of the woods at some point.
You're standing up cause you have to move around as everything happens right around and above you, or as the Roundhouse puts it:
"This show contains: Loud music; strobe lighting, nudity (moderate), water (lots of water), scenes of a trippy, poetic, violent and beautiful nature and a whole lot of mess. It is an all–standing rave of a show. High heels are not advisable. Dress casual, you may get wet; you may get dirty. Bring friends and dancing shoes and prepare for sensory overload. You will leave this show wanting more."
Don't worry if you think that sounds lame, trust me on this one.

Sad day for music....
...well, for me I guess.
From the DFA1979 site:
As of August 3, 2006 the band is officially dead. Jesse F. Keeler posted this on the official Death From Above 1979 forum:
"i know its been forever since i wrote anything on here. im sure by now most of you assume the band isnt happening anymore since there are no shows, no work on a new album, etc. well. i wanted to let you know that your assumptions are correct. we decided to stop doing the band... actually we decided that almost a year ago. we finished off our scheduled tour dates because there were good people working for us who relied on us to make a living and buy christmas presents and pay rent etc. we couldnt just cancel everything and leave them out to dry... plus i think we wanted to see if we would reconsider after being out on the road. our label was really hoping that we would change our minds, so they asked us to keep quiet about the decision for at first. well, its been quite awhile now and we are still very sure the band wont happen again, so i guess its time to say something.
